Our In-depth History…

Over the past seven years, our organization has embarked on a remarkable journey. It all began with the formation of the 20th Marine Expeditionary Unit (20th MEU), a US Marine Raider Group personally developed by Nathaniel Perez. This venture quickly gained traction and evolved into a fully functioning Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) unit. Subsequently, the 20th MEU merged forces with another military group known as Alpha Squad 2015, and together, they forged a renowned military entity known as the Eleventh Marine Division, or the 11th MD.

During an alliance meeting convened by a larger military organization called the Greater Federation, the Eleventh Marines were introduced to Foxtrot Company PMC, a private military company-themed crew led by Matthew Radzikowski. This encounter led to a personal alliance between the 11th and FTC, culminating in the creation of a new military alliance. Formally named the Multinational Combined Armed-Forces Coalition (MCAFC), it soon earned the nickname “Iron Legion.” Shortly after its establishment, both FTC and the 11th MD found themselves in conflict with an unfamiliar organization.

The Greater Federation (GFRA), led by the idealistic Ryan Botsko, despite internal issues, operated with precision and had a formidable reputation in combat. They often called upon our organizations to “surge” servers, overwhelming the enemy with friendly forces and deadly firepower. This strategy proved highly effective, resulting in a consistent 3-to-1 advantage against the enemy.

After the conflict with an organization known as the DSSA (themed after the US State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service) subsided, FTC and the 11th forged a strong bond, leading to their eventual merger. Together, they established the Central Government of North America (CGNA), a government/military entity that served as a model for establishing similar structures in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Following this, Perez separated from CGNA to create the Constitutional Republic of the United States (CRUS), mirroring the US government. CRUS and CGNA continued to collaborate under the umbrella of the Iron Legion and formed a personal alliance with GFRA.

A new conflict arose with a group known as BATF (themed after the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms), which became a common enemy for the three government entities and numerous other crews under the Iron Legion. After intense fighting and propaganda campaigns, BATF formally surrendered to the Iron Legion, facing charges of DDoS attacks, doxing, invasion of private information, and military and civilian executions.

However, as time passed, relations between GFRA, CGNA, and CRUS soured due to dwindling personnel and disagreements, leading to the neglect of the Iron Legion. Eventually, Perez transferred command to Radzikowski, who saw a brief resurgence before many groups refused to adhere to MCAFC guidelines and the honor code. These groups were subsequently expelled from the Coalition.

A falling out between Radzikowski and Botsko, misinformation from BATF, and a strategic plan to dismantle GFRA led to a series of events that ended with the disbandment of GFRA. CGNA remained on the sidelines during this time.

After these conflicts, the Iron Legion was handed over to Radzikowski, who led a campaign to eliminate toxic players and drama from the organization, ensuring its survival on PC. In 2017, the 11th Marine Division rekindled on PS4 and PC, fostering a close-knit brotherhood of Marines until the PS4 branch’s closure later that year.

Perez took a break from online gaming and later established USN EOD Group Two on PS4, while Radzikowski served as a senior enlisted non-commissioned officer in the unit. They later revived the 11th Marine Division once more to operate alongside EOD Group Two on PS4.

In October 2018, USN EOD Group Two disbanded, and the 11th was fully active on PC until the following year.

In May 2019, Task Force Reaper emerged as a new community with higher standards and a U.S. Army Special Forces detachment known as ODA-1136 “Ronin.” Radzikowski transitioned the 11th Marine Division into the Task Force, establishing ODA-0136 “Viking” and expanding across various platforms.

In early 2023, TF Reaper shifted its focus from solely hardcore special operation military simulation to a community centered around the ethos of serious fun. Through a concerted effort, the community streamlined its operations by shedding unnecessary burdens and embracing a series of pivotal changes.

These changes encompassed a revamped organizational framework, meticulously crafted mission designs, a diverse array of units and factions to play as, a more open spectrum of mission types, and intricately structured campaign narratives. Alongside these alterations, ample space was carved out for engaging recreational operations and unconventional missions, iwhich had injected a newfound spirit of enjoyment into the community.

Despite this shift towards a more community-oriented approach, TF Reaper still remains steadfast in upholding its commitment to realism and seriousness when playing Arma and other games. Since then, this evolution has been met with widespread enthusiasm, marked by ongoing refinements and enhancements with each passing month.

Today, we have grown in size, maturity, and professionalism, retaining veterans from our past endeavors. Our journey continues, and the real work is just beginning.
